We are a friendly group who get together to race our boats on Saturday afternoons at Stubbers Sailing Centre, Ockendon Road, Upminster, Essex RM14 2TY, between the months of March and November. We are affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association. We aim to be on the water racing by 12.30. After the first race we stop for a short lunch break and then continue sailing until 4.30pm
New members are very welcome, being a racing orientated club you do need to be able to sail although a knowledge of racing is not essential. We supply the boats (including two new GP14's), all the safety equipment and rescue cover on the water. All you need to bring is a change of clothes (just in case...) and some wind. Not that sort, wind to allow us to sail.
If you wish to come and sail with us please will you telephone Mrs June Hutson on 01375 846153 so that we can ensure that someone is available to take you out on the water. You will need to arrive at the lake for about 12 noon in order to help rig your boat and you will be expected to help put the boat away at the end of the day.
